Construction Assistant

Role:

The Construction Laborer must be committed to the vision of Renaissance and display that commitment through craftsmanship and care on the job site. The vision is to seek the peace of the city by restoring and reviving blighted homes. They are focused on quality workmanship on residential job sites in conjunction with the non-profit vision. Previous construction experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation:

• $29,120 - $37,440 per year based on experience.

• Health insurance compensation.

• Paid vacation, paid holidays, sick leave, and bereavement.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Personal transportation and vehicle required.

• Personal, basic tools required.

• Cleaning and preparing construction sites.

• Participate in the demolition and deconstruction process.

• Participate in the restoration and reconstruction process.

• Working beneath residential homes in crawl spaces, basements, etc.

• Participation in multiple areas of residential construction, i.e. drywall, flooring, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.

• Collaborate with and assist others on the job site.

• Following direction on the job site.

• Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.

• Load or unload construction materials.

• Requires participation in volunteer workdays.

• Perform site clean-up.
